With cinder-block-walled cells dorms, irksome roomies, nasty communal bathrooms, and mind-numbing 8 AM classes... college is only going to be as lovely as you make it.  Lovely Undergrad is here to help as a go-to guide for making your college living space and lifestyle lovely. 

Back in March of 2009, I scavenged the internet for dorm decorating sites to help me make my space lovely.  Nothing spectacular sprang up and I realized there was truly a lack of this type of niche on the web.  I didn't come up completely empty handed.  I found lots of design inspiration from other sites, not particularly meant for dorms or small apartments... but definitely inspirational!  So I started Lovely Undergrad (or Miss Scholastic, as it was called early on) as a personal online scrapbook to keep track of all the lovely photos, diy projects, and decor ideas I came across as I planned for my own dorm.

Today LU provides affordable options, creative projects, and inspiring ideas for turning your dorm or apartment into a comfortable, functional, and beautiful living space.  LU divulges smart tips and handy tricks for adjusting to university life, making the grade, handling money, managing time, and being safe both on campus and off.  And finally, LU shares insightful advice and candid thoughts on friendships, relationships, health, beauty, fashion, entertainment, sustainability, and fun.
